All coordinates are millimetres. Source: Moldcaster sample tumbler.
Accepted digital prototype plan.

DESIGN
Target height 65 mm, total linear shrinkage 0%, cavity height 65.00 mm.
2 distinct plaster sections. 2 candidate layouts checked.
Estimated plaster volume 1487 mL, a geometric volume rather than a mixing recipe.
Proposed pour opening diameter 20.00 mm, positioned at the top of the model. Confirm that this is a suitable fill and drain position for your form before making the mould.
Printer X/Y/Z 220 × 220 × 250 mm, edge margin 5 mm.
Binder clip usable jaw width 25 mm, jaw depth 10 mm, maximum jaw opening 12 mm.

PRINTED PARTS
22 STL files in TOOLING and matching individual files in 3MF. Choose one format per part.
Print every listed component once. Each plaster section has a distinct cassette with its own positive former, four removable walls and four top corner caps. Parts may be divided into smaller print tiles. Retention shoes and any enabled funnel are separate components.
The part-list records print orientation and actual oriented bounds including connectors. Do not rescale individual parts. Inspect each orientation in your slicer; formers, caps and dry-side tile flanges may need supports. Keep plaster contact surfaces smooth and preserve key dimensions.
0 binder-clip pairs join printed tiles. Approximately 32 clips close all pouring cassettes at once; clips can be reused when pouring one cassette at a time.

ASSEMBLE EACH POURING CASSETTE
1. Match the section number and component names. Join tiles of each former, wall or cap first. Tapered pins align the dry-side tile flanges; binder clips close the flange pairs. The printed tile joins do not create extra plaster sections. Seal all joints with a thin removable bead to prevent leakage. Print seams may leave witness marks on the plaster.
2. Place the positive former with its broad backing down and its open pouring face up. Attach the four removable side walls. Clip their bottom flanges to the backing at the provided positions.
3. Fit the four top corner caps. Each cap connects two adjacent walls with two binder clips. Check that clips remain accessible and the walls seat without gaps. Use suitable release for your printed material and plaster.
4. Pour plaster into the space between the positive former and the walls, up to the open rim. Follow the plaster manufacturer's mixing and setting instructions. Do not cover the free pour face with a lid.
5. Unclip and remove the four top caps first. Remove the side walls outward in their indicated directions. Then separate the positive former and backing from the plaster. Keep the tiles of each logical tool joined during removal. Never force a natch or unsupported thin plaster edge.
6. Repeat with each distinct cassette. Dry the plaster completely and mark section numbers and removal directions on its exterior.

FINAL MOULD CLOSURE
The shallow matching natches align adjacent plaster sections. Seat them without force in reverse removal order.
Use horizontal bands around the body. Place the four printed retention shoes under the matching bottom corners, with two 25 mm webbing straps no thicker than 1.5 mm laid in their channels. Route each strap over solid plaster at the matching offset, keeping both routes clear of the pour opening. These vertical straps retain the underside during inverted draining. Use broad protective pads at plaster edges. Binder clips close printed pouring tools; the final plaster assembly uses bands and straps. Test the complete closure before filling, and do not lift a heavy mould by printed components.

PLASTER REMOVAL ORDER
1. Section 1: Removal 1: −Z
2. Section 2: Removal 2: +Z
Support the soft casting throughout. Follow the stated straight pull directions, disengaging each natch before releasing the next section. The exploded preview illustrates separation, not a continuous animation.

PROJECT
Open project.slipcast.zip to rebuild this plan. It contains the original uploaded model and its orientation, target size, shrinkage, preparation, printer, clip and funnel settings. Preparation remains reversible and shrinkage is applied once.

CHECK RESULTS
PASS: Closed master imported. The cavity uses the uploaded STL with the selected preparation, orientation, size and shrinkage allowance.
NOTE: Geometry-driven multipart search. Generated local parting candidates from surface area and trapped regions; checked 2 arrangements and surface-derived pull directions. The search is bounded and does not establish a globally optimal mold.
PASS: Automatic split plan passes sampled release. 2 plaster sections were selected from 2 tested layouts. Surface directions and sampled translations were checked, including the 2 key pairs.
PASS: Alignment keys placed. 2 hemispherical key pairs were placed on eligible plaster joints clear of the model, edges and opening. Tangent-release and open-pour faces are excluded.
PASS: Final mould retention included. Four corner shoes route two vertical 25 mm straps parallel to X, clear of the pour opening. Add horizontal body bands. Binder clips hold the printed cassettes, not the final plaster assembly.
PASS: Printer fit includes joins and tabs. 22 printed pieces, 0 dry-side tile joins. Build area 220 × 220 × 250 mm with 5 mm edge allowance. Extra print seams are assembled before pouring; they are separate from plaster parting lines.
NOTE: Prototype manufacturing checks. Sampled geometry checks do not certify continuous or physical release. Test clip fit, surface finish, seam sealing, plaster release, slip drainage and fired shrinkage. Slicer supports may be needed.
NOTE: Suggested pouring opening. The 20.0 mm opening before shrinkage allowance is at the highest surface. The mould and its slip/drain route still need a casting trial.

LIMITATIONS
This bounded planner searches axis-aligned straight pulls and rectangular or stepped split layouts. It does not generate arbitrary curved parting surfaces or divide a sculpture into separate ceramic castings. Extra plaster seams may be needed where a former is too deep for the printer. Supported printed backing and wall pieces can be tiled; inaccessible joins or trapped sections block kit export.
Sampled collision positions and surface checks do not prove continuous or physical release. Drainage, venting, slip wall thickness, trapped air, green strength and fired shrinkage need workshop trials. A complex sculpture may need redesign, added openings or specialist mould planning. Print a fit trial, make a test plaster section and record corrections before production.

PRINTED SEALING JOINTS
Raised ribs and recessed channels are built into the printed case joints and supported print seams. The nominal rib is 1.6 mm wide and 1.2 mm high, with 0.2 mm groove clearance. Sliding joints have open-ended channels along the removal direction; do not glue different removable components together.
Clean the mating faces, seat the ribs without forcing, and close the binder clips on their flat tabs. The ribs locate parts and lengthen the leakage path. They are rigid printed features, not compressible gaskets: seal the seams and junctions with a thin removable bead suitable for your plaster and printing material. Keep sealant off the sculpted surfaces, keys, feeders and vents. Test the fit and leakage before a production pour.
These printed joints are separate from the spherical alignment keys on the finished plaster mould.
